For those that have read (or listened) to the Effective Manager, did you find it beneficial/did you learn lots? Or were covered on all the book provided from listening to Manager Tools podcasts?

It's far quicker to read/reference that book than work through 300+ hours of podcasts. Though of course there's less detail (some unintentionally relevant depending on your situation).
I'm glad to have the book, the podcasts, and the show-notes all available at once. A quick scan of the book, a quick search through the show-notes, then settle into one or another of the podcasts for some extra fleshing-out.
