Primer on economics/free market

 Hi there

I'm a big fan of manager tools, having put into practice many many advices. 

Still, I find myself not understanding how our company relates to the market. This leaves me wondering what decisions are based on and finally hinders me to influence decision makers in our company. 

I started reading Wallstreet journal. That's great but I often don't understand it's articles as I have no training in economics. 

Anyone knows of a good book or resources that could get me there?
