Hi to everybody,

I would like to know if there is podcast that talks
about how to manage multiple porjects.
I'm a design engineer and I need to follow more than
one projects at the time. The main issue is that I have
to switch tasks on unexepcted day. This cause me to
lose focus and overview on one project while I'm working on
the other.

Example: I'm working on Project A and suddenly I need to
solve something on Project B. I focus on solving the issue
on Project B, maybe for a couple of days, before going back to
Project A. Once I go back to Project A, I've problem to
remember where I was, at what particular detail I was working
on and it will take me some day to get the overall view that
I gained while I was working on Project A

Thanks for the help

I don't think there is a podcast that directly addresses your question.
There have been a few brief references in different podcasts about "Getting Things Done", or GTD, a personal productivity management system by David Allen, described by a book by the same name. It's what I use to help with exactly the kind of problem you describe. Google "GTD" and you'll find references all over the web, the mothership is http://www.davidco.com.
Other systems will probably work, the trick is to pick one and stick with it until it becomes automatic.

I don't know of any podcast either. There are definitely tools out there though to help you. Have you considered using a Project Management Tool? I work with people that are located all over the place, and a lot of my co-workers live in different cities as well. We use a tool called PureProjectTools.com and it's super easy to use and really intuitive as well. It helps keep track of numerous projects on the go. It's free and definitely helps with the management of different projects.
