What is the best way to get past the question of "Why did you leave your last company?" when you actually did not leave the company the company left you by terminating you. Not laid off or position no longer exists.
I have heard several different ways to get past this question:
1. I did not leave my last job, unfortunately I made an decision the company had no other choice but to terminate me.
2. Due to a wrong choice I made in a leadership/management position the company decided that I needed to be terminated.
I was in a situation myself where this has happened but luckily the question has not come up before, but I am in a position now that I am seeing that question being more and more asked.
Any professional opinions out there?

It explained in some great detail on answering those questions that might come up in an interview.
Thanks for the response.
