Hi everyone,
Just a quick hello from a Kiwi - loving the podcsts a lot. I've recently started a new job, which is a 'team leader' role. I'm really enjoying it, and the Manager Tool podcasts are giving me loads of ideas and enthusiasm. I've been a 'technical hands on' manager prior to this role.. but never really understood how to manage effectively. My new job is much more focussed on people management (no more tech stuff to do! Oh my goodness! Withdrawal symptoms... no,not really :).
Anyhow, I also need to say thank you, because today I drove into work listening to the Effective Meetings podcasts... and then walked into a meeting I was NOT prepared for, and it was all about what kind of meeting, and why a group of people I was part of wanted.
Well, all of a sudden, I was prepared - and made enough of a contribution to add loads of ideas and to have the note-taker email me afterwards asking me to check the agenda and purpose of the meeting before sending it on to the other attendees..
So thanks, for making me look good on a Monday morning when I could barely think! :)

Welcome Michelle! Good for you for being as prepared as you could for that meeting. You took the info M&M provided and put it to work. Nicely done.
I look forward to hearing more from you on the boards.

Well done. The effective meetings podcasts were the first I was able to implement, too. It made a great impression with senior management.
Welcome to the forum.
